conical monocle is now not only available directly from us, but also from cdbaby. there's a nice new button on the merch page and a popup describing in more detail why we chose cdbaby and what this means for our paypal-operated store.
one of the awesomest perks about cdbaby is that it is now available from Super-D One Stop--meaning that you can walk into one of hundreds of record stores worldwide and ask them to order conical monocle. and if we get a show near you, we, too, can call those record stores and ask them to order several copies so that they'll be in stock and people can buy them off the shelves. just like real, live bands. wow. here's a partial list of stores.
more good news, we got a show in edinburgh!!!!! full details will be available mid-june. thanks also to those who've donated to our handy trip fund. the button has been relocated to the rightmost column, if you're not among those people, and are wondering where it is.

we have an announcement. this summer, pretty balanced is going to the edinburgh fringe festival because we're young and determined. we will be playing free shows there, to be announced in april, and busking our asses off on the royal mile. if this excites you, think about donating to the trip fund--whatever you'd like, even a dollar. dude, if we could get every pb listener on, say, Last.fm to donate a dollar, we'd.........we'd like go to china. and the fringe festival. what i'm trying to say is, every little bit counts.

dear everybodies:
life on the homefront has become quite exciting. firstly and most exciting, conical monocle is here and available on the merch page, as well as a very few local stores which i will soon list here on the site.
secondly, our first album, icicle bicycle, is very nearly sold out. we aren't planning on doing a second edition so if you've ever toyed with the idea of buying one but never did, do it now, because it will soon be out of print.
thirdly, we're planning some excitement for the summer--definitely some kind of e.p., definitely a few different kinds of tours. stay tuned for clues.
